Course Objectives:

  5. Introduce participants to real-life applications of data science in the field of cricket – using a case study approach.

Delivery Methodology:

Online live lectures + supplementary video lectures delivered by IITM faculty and industry experts. The program will be primarily taught through a combination of lectures, case studies and assignments. All students can get their doubts clarified through the forum designed for this purpose. Two assignments will be shared. Final marks will be calculated from all the assignments and final examinations (Final Marks = Assignment marks + Final marks). To be eligible for a certificate, one must submit the assignments and complete the final exam of the course.

Program Duration:

32 hours taught over 8 weekends. Online classes will be held on Saturdays and Sundays in the mornings.

Duration: 10 hours

Intended audience: MSc. / BSc / Research Scholars

Pre-requisites: Basic knowledge in datasets

  3. Draw inferences from analysis

  5. Understand Tableau UI components and various ways to establish data connection from a single source or multiple sources
  6. Clean data, explore various charts, features and techniques used for visualization
  7. Create advanced plots, build Dashboards and Stories within Tableau
  8. Perform calculations using Level Of Detail expressions

  1. Interactive live online hands-on sessions using case study approach

  4. Final exam will be conducted by GITAA at the end of the course
